Texas Reunion - Yolanda "Yoyo" Gamble (Class of ‘08)

Howdy y’all!

We had our GLDI Texas reunion on Saturday August 8, 2009 at Jubilee Church in Plano, just on the outskirts of Dallas. Dinner was at Brio Italian restaurant and  opened up the discussions of the course of our lives post- GLDI and what different events took place in differing classes, such as the 12-hour prayer and nation building projects at this year’s GLDI. We talked about our most memorable speakers and how our daily lives are still being impacted by the things that we had learned. We then gathered at Jubilee church for a time of worship, sharing, and prayer.

Dr. Mary Roh, a mother of a GLDI 2007 alum, reminded us of the power we have to effect change onto this world. She shared her own experience of following the call of Jesus Christ and what it means to be committed to God’s kingdom causes. It was a great time of bonding as each one of us shared our own personal struggles and prayer requests. We then as a group lifted those prayers up to heaven. We closed in prayer for Dr. Kim and all leaders of GLDI and for God’s continued grace and unmerited favor to be upon GLDI. The time spent was refreshing for the spirit and encouraging for the mind. To know and understand that we can come collectively as brothers and sisters in Christ with GLDI as the vessel that brought us together was humbling and absolutely God honoring.
